THE WORK

The protestant college and high school of Agbalepedogan of Lome, Togo (more than 1000 students) provide the music school with classrooms from 3pm in the afternoon. The relationships have been made easier by the fact that the music teacher of the protestant college is also our music teacher. (see picture of the college)

At the moment we are putting together the instrumental park and the music library.

The goal of the association is to promote music in West Africa.

We have decided on very clear goals which will enable us to support the action of the teaching team in Lome without forcing our european way of doing things :

to collect instruments and ensure they reach Togo while supervisiong the repairs.

to support and accompany the training of the teaching team according to their requirements.

to add value to the work of the various teachers by allowing them to make a honest living out of their work.

to promote traditional togolese music

to enable the people of Lome to have access of a musical teaching for a reasonable cost but not for free.

to advise and orientate the teachers according to their needs in terms of teaching material and support their finance.

The demand is enormous and in order to enable a maximum of children to access musical education, we need your support.

It is with the help of gifts of instruments, second-hand or new music books, financial gifts and memberships as well as the help of foreign teachers that this project is building itself up.
